Stonegrove and Spur Road
Stonegrove and Spur road estates were originally built in the 60's & 70's on the edge of the green belt in Barnet. Due to their poor state of repair and high energy consumption, The London Borough of Barnet resolved to regenerate the 11.5 ha site, providing modern homes and reintegrating the estate with the surrounding community. Sprunt were appointed to develop a mixed tenure masterplan to provide 937 quality homes in a strong landscape setting, whilst retaining and reinforcing the existing landscape and trees. The masterplan responded to the differing boundary conditions within and around the site, and provided the opportunity for a series of connected but different streets, spaces and architectural styles.
